On Cinema

Cinema is a language of images and time. It is how I see the world. Every frame is a choice, and every cut is a transition in thought.

This archive is a record of my watching. It is a space for reflection on the films that matter, and a diary of the time spent in front of the screen.

Philosophy

I value the slow accumulation of knowledge through film. I believe that great works should be returned to, and that rewatching is as important as the first viewing.

I log my films to keep track of my thoughts. I rate them to define my taste. Every entry is a record of a specific moment.

Influences

Andrei Tarkovsky. Béla Tarr. Chantal Akerman. Wong Kar-wai. Yasujirō Ozu. Claire Denis. Apichatpong Weerasethakul. Terrence Malick. Abbas Kiarostami.

These are the filmmakers who taught me that cinema can be contemplative, durational, mysterious. That a film can unfold like weather. That image and sound can create their own truth.

Archive

This system is built for longevity. Every entry includes a watch date, rating, and personal notes. It is a tool for understanding my own evolution as a viewer over time.
