95kg → 80kg. Started with walks. Now I run.
Not following a trend. Just trying to get healthy, lose the weight properly, and actually stick to something for once. Started with slow walks. Somewhere along the way it turned into a daily run habit I genuinely look forward to.
I started with walks. Slow ones. Just getting outside because I knew sitting all day wasn't working for me anymore.
No running app, no plan, no goal beyond just moving. After a few weeks the walks got longer. Then I started jogging bits of it. Then one day I just ran the whole thing and it didn't feel as terrible as I expected.
Now I run most evenings. Around 8km, pace somewhere in the 9 minute range, nothing impressive but consistent. I take Friday and Saturday off. The rest of the week I show up.
Current weight is coming down slowly. Started at 95kg, sitting at 87kg now, trying to reach 80kg. Eating at a deficit, no supplements, no shortcuts. Just the runs and being a bit more sensible about food.
I'm keeping this page public mostly to keep myself accountable. Also because the data is there anyway, so why not.
I only record runs on Strava. A few early sessions are missing calories or heart rate because I forgot to wear my watch. The runs happened, the data just didn't make it.
Past 7 days
Pace is around 9 minutes per kilometre most days. I'm not trying to go fast right now. 8km at a comfortable pace every morning is the goal. Speed can come later.
~12 weeks to target at current rate.
Keeping this public so I actually stay accountable.
